JULY 2020 PLEASE NOTE: PLAIN ACTION AND VALE ACTION CAN NO LONGER TAKE ENQUIRIES OR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST AS OUR LEADER FUNDING IS NOW ALLOCATED.
Following the very successful LEADER funded programmes “Sustain The Plain”(2002-2007) and “Plain Action” (2007-2013) we are delighted to have been awarded funding for a third programme (2014-2020).
Within the website there are details of our past successes, over 40 communities helped and 170 businesses. There are details of the overall priorities for the new programme as laid down by the European Union, how these have been interpreted by the British Government and how we will work with local partners such as Wiltshire Council and the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership.
Please do take the time to have a look and if you feel your business or community would have a suitable project that needs funding contact us.
Fleur de Rhé-Philipe – Chairman Plain Action LAG
This programme of funding 2015 to 2021 is all about increasing jobs and the local economy in rural areas. Applications for funding must show that they either directly or indirectly do this. For example, you may want to increase production in your business and employ more staff, or you may be a tourist attraction needing help with your marketing to bring in more visitors and thus increase the local economy. To see the priorities that can be funded please go to the “2015 to 2021” section.
We recognise that with European Funding the form filling can be quite daunting. We are here to help and will spend time with you to complete the forms. From our experience of the last programme we have compiled a series of helpful guides to take you through the processes of applying and claiming for your grant. Do not be put off by the form filling and the terminology used - wewill help you with it.
Finally, if you think you may have a project that could benefit from funding, we would like to hear from you. Please contact me to discuss your project.
Alan Truscott – Plain Action Programme Manager.
